Well, as some of you might know - HE HAS ARRIVED! Thayer Dean McCully was born on Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 at 7:01PM CST. He weighed 7lbs 14 ozs and was 21 inches long. It was only 2 days in labor after an induction due to my blood pressure and only 1 our of actual pushing. All I have to say is thank god for epidurals!

He is doing great and Chris is an excellent daddy! I never knew how much time one of these things took - haha - kidding. We are having a great time and my mom arrived on Friday night to help out. Lucky us, we get her for another week and she is very helpful! Chris is home for another week too and my dad and sister come in mid-August for a visit.

Only thing that we are currently working on is that he is a night baby. So, we are trying to keep him awake more in the day and sleep a little more at night. Doc had some great advice for us on this - we are starting today!

Pleased to enjoy Thayer Dean:

4 Days and Counting!

Counting to what at this time I am not sure. We go in this afternoon for another status check and I just feel this loom and doom that there will be no progress and Thayer has decided to stay in for keeps! Woman that Chris works with says that he is too comfortable - well, we tried to battle that this weekend with a good about of mall walking (I felt old) and an immense amount of puttering around the house. But, that was mainly b/c mom flies into town with James Huey on Friday and I needed to get a lot done prior to 10:30 PM on the 20th and this work week looks just as busy as any other! Another update to come later!

Boo! No progress! NONE! Nadda! Zilch! BOO! BOO!

That was what the doctor said. Not much else to do but wait - BOO - and a walk - BOO. She is concerned with the progress now and Thayer baking too long due to size and all that. We go back in on Monday and check again and see about the induction date...hopefully.

If it matters - 9 Days and Counting

11 Days and COUNTING!!!

Mom called last night and said that the RNs on her unit have decided that I am not making it another week and to them I say - thank you and yes please!

As many of you are aware I am not a complainer - life is too short for that kind of attitude - but I am really kinda done with being preggers. I am sure that all women feel this way at this point, but the not sleeping b/c of a bad hip is killing me. No position is comfortable and everything aches my freaking hip. Sitting down - no. Laying down - no. Standing - heck no! Good grief! Last night I finally gave in and took 3, yes 3, Ty PMs - I am sure that Thayer got a good nights sleep as well. Not to mention that the low pressure system that has kept Texas cool and flooded for the past month has moved on and now we are up to 100 degree heat and with the TED hose it is killing me!

Enough complaining! Too excited to see little Thayer, count his fingers and toes, hear him cry and make sure he is totally healthy!

Prego Appt Update:
What a great baby appointment we just had on Tuesday! Doc said that the baby has DROPPED (she could even feel his head from down below) and that we are effaced to 50%. So really it could be any day now - even though I think that it will be another week to a week and a half away! So now, I begin to try the old wives tales to kick this into gear. Spicy foods are out - there is no way my tummy can handle that. Fresh pineapple is really pricey right now - so that one is on hold. Walking - this one I will do even though now that Thayer has dropped the hip is in utter agony. Scrubbing the floor on hands and knees - yeah, not sure about this one with the bad hip and a knee that hurts - but we will see. Sex - oh yes for sure. Nipple stimulation - well (hahaha) not sure what I think about this one. Castor oil - only if I get really desperate b/c i hear it makes you crap out your pants, but it seems to work?!?! Gosh, going back over the list it looks as though I have nixed everything but sex - nice...good thing it is my hubby's birthday today! :)

Countdown is on - 15 days to go!
