Just a quick update for all you family and friends out there! At week 18 (and 3 days) the American Pregnancy Association states that Baby McPeanut is around 7.5 inches long and should be weighing about 7 ounces. 2 weeks until we find out the gender and I know that Grandma and Auntie Jenn are also excited to know the details! Chris and I are doing well and he is nearly finished sanding and painting the dresser that we purchased at the antique store a few months back! We have just hit month 5 of the pregnancy and I feel that the time is speeding by! My co-workers at work mentioned that the last month will drag, but I am hoping for me that it too will be swift!Still on the hunt for plus size maternity clothing - but you know me I love the hunt in shopping!
I think that I am becoming a bit too obsessed. Every meeting invite I accept, movie trailer see on TV and pretty much anything that involves an actual date reminds me of the appoinment at which we find out the gender! I guess I just really want to see Baby McPeanut again, discover its gender and ensure that s/he is a healthy baby that is perfectly Walters/McCully. I wonder if other women go through this when they are so close to discovering the gender. Then again, maybe it just stems from the fact that I am an overly type A personality that should really get help for my Obsessive Compulsive planning nature. Which makes me think, how did I become this overly obsessive with deadlines and checklists. Ummph...I do not think that it is genetic - if so, family and friends, please pray that Baby McPeanut turns out like Daddy in this area and not Mommy.Just an FYI 19 days until the appointment. Yeah, there is a little count down at my desk.
I just wanted to give a quick update as to what the websites are saying about baby McCully during this week of the pregnancy. Depending on what website or email update I have received baby Mc is about 6-7.5 inches long and around 5-6 ounces. On another note, I heard some lovely news from my mom last night that the "Sister Reunion" might be held in Texas again this year as mom and my 2 aunts might be coming in for the Cinco De Mayo baby shower. Mom and Aunt Leslie are already for sure - we are just waiting to see if Aunt Pat is able to come as well. This is excellent news b/c the last time I saw them was at the wedding and I did not get much time with them during their stay - as so commonly happens with weddings!Best wishes to you all! More photos to come this evening of some items purchased for baby this past weekend!
Family and friends! We had a great appointment on Friday! Everything looks really good. The babies heart beat was b/t 155-157 throughout the monitoring. My blood pressure was a healthy 100/62. Dr. Orth mentioned that I will be probably getting out of my clothes in a few weeks and into more comfortable articles of clothing. The next appointment is on March the 5th - and it is THE appointment that we have been waiting for - gender discovery! Doctor mentioned again that the heartbeat was high so OWT would say that it is a girl -- well in 3 weeks we will find out how true this is!Hope all are doing well!
Some family and friends have asked for a side view photo of the Momma! Ask and you shall receive! This photo was taken on 02/08/2007, 17 weeks (4.5 months prego) It does not look like much, but I sure am feeling tight in my favorite jeans!
Hugs,
The McCully's
You might be wondering how an auto insurance policy can remind me of the loveliness of having a baby, but somehow it does! This morning as I opened the new cards to divvy up among the cars I suddenly realized - the next time I am doing this, I am going to have a baby in the home and the baby will be about a month and a half old. I guess it is a mess what can get you to think of the upcoming baby - but the whole adventure is fun!Best wishes!
Well Family and Friends, I think that I have felt the baby move for the first time and this happened at 16.5 weeks. The average is 14-18 weeks, but this gentle tickle in my lower abdomen is very noticeable and something that I have never felt before. So, needless to say I am very excited about that little tid bit of action!Little Peanut is b/t 5-6.5 inches long (depending on what website I read) and is supposed to be about 3 ounces in weight! But, this is a Walters/McCully so it could be a bit bigger than that! I will post another update on Friday after my next doctors appt!
